We had originally planned to release Flex Forms earlier. However, after additional testing and reviewing the approval requirements for some of the planned Google integrations, we have decided to postpone the release.

This was not an easy decision, but it is the right one.

Why is Flex Forms being delayed?

Some of the functionality we originally planned involved Google OAuth and Gmail-related integrations. During the verification process, it became clear that these integrations would require additional approval rounds and recurring external security assessments.

We do not want to rush through that process, pass unnecessary costs on to users, or make Flex Forms dependent on permissions that are broader than the feature truly needs.

At the same time, our internal test rounds showed that Flex Forms deserves more time to become the reliable and flexible system we want it to be.

Flex Forms is not cancelled

Flex Forms remains part of the Spixor roadmap.

We are using the delay to improve the underlying architecture and make sure the system remains consistent with one of Spixor’s most important principles:

Your website and your forms should not become unnecessarily locked into Spixor.

We are therefore revisiting how submissions, notifications and replies will work.

The updated direction includes:

  • Spixor Inbox as an optional managed submission destination
  • Custom endpoints and external connections
  • Email notifications without requiring Gmail mailbox access
  • Opening Gmail, Outlook or another mail client with prepared content
  • Automatic Spixor-powered email delivery for eligible paid plans
  • Export-friendly submission options
  • A fully local WordPress Inbox plugin for WordPress exports
  • Clearer documentation and tutorials for custom integrations

Users who want the convenience of the Spixor dashboard will still be able to manage submissions from their project Message Center. Users who prefer their own infrastructure or another provider will be able to choose a different delivery method.

Why we are not releasing a limited version now

We could release a smaller version sooner, but that would risk introducing temporary workflows that we would need to replace shortly afterwards.

Forms handle important information. Submissions need to be delivered reliably, stored safely where applicable, and remain manageable after a website has been exported.

We want to solve those parts properly before calling Flex Forms ready.

What happens next?

For now, our focus remains on improving the reliability, performance and editing experience of the Spixor builder.

Flex Forms will return later as a more complete system, with clearer submission options and less dependency on restricted third-party integrations.

We are not announcing a new release date yet. We will share another update once the revised architecture has completed its implementation and testing rounds.

Thank you for your patience and for following the development of Spixor.
